Farnham Letter to the Editor

December 15, 2009 — Letter to the Editor….

During this holiday season of caring and giving thanks, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who made our 2009 Farnham Unplugged: Rock The Arts event such a huge success this past November!

The evening, which included an amazing performance by artist David Garibaldi, live music from Frostbit Blue, Doc Apple and the Predators, a silent and live art auction, food and friends… was truly one to remember.

We would like to thank David, his wife Joy and brother Chase for being a part of our special night and sharing an amazing talent. Also, to the incredible bands that rocked the event… thank you!

We also had over 60 art items of various mediums, donated by local artisans, with a retail value of over $10,000.  Thank you to each of the artisans, as well as all of our local sponsors, led by the Palladium Times, TK99/KRock and Pathfinder Bank, and our other major sponsors including Oswego County Federal Credit Union, Constellation Energy, Best Western Captain’s Quarters, and Step One Creative, who helped us have such a successful event through their continued advocacy and donations to our mission.

Thank you to our emcee Buddy Stemple for doing such a great job at the event, and to the American Foundry for the wonderful food and use of their facility for the night!

Finally, our gratitude goes out to the community members that attended, shared in the evening activities with us, and supported our silent and live art auction. From the feedback we’ve gathered, everyone walked away in amazement!

Through all of your various levels of support, Farnham Family Services brought in thousands of dollars to help our overall mission, as well as our school based prevention counseling programs, which reach thousands of Oswego County students every year.  Our community has never failed to support those in need, and still remains supportive even during these difficult economic times.  

We are deeply grateful for your recognition and support of Farnham’s ongoing goal to eliminate alcohol and drug abuse in our community.
